30th Anniversary Hexagon

Our Anniversary year is passing very quickly. I do hope that you are enjoying our meetings, guest speakers and the additional prizes as we celebrate our years of quilting fellowship.

Many members have collected their green fabric and wadding to make a hexagon to be added to our 20thAnniversary Quilt. I am delighted to thank members who have already returned their glorious needlework. There have been embroidered eucalypt flowers and yes there are hexagons with beautiful embellishments. Members have embroidered or used indelible markers to record their names. Some have elected to add other details such as year or year joined. Your hexagon is your story.

Please collect the makings of the hexagon as soon as possible, all you have to do is provide the cream and some of your stitching. If you need assistance please use this link and we will endeavour to assist. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that hexagons need to be returned by the evening meeting in May. Volunteers are then going to be busy stitching so our Quilt can be displayed at the Anniversary Lunch.

It is about six weeks until we come together to celebrate by sharing a meal together on 22 June 2019 at the Masonic Centre, 840 Mt Alexander Rd. Moonee Ponds. I encourage you to register your attendance by clicking here. Forms will be available at our meetings and to assist members card processing will be available at both May meetings. Please assist us by registering during May so we can finalise the arrangements.

I look forward to seeing you at our Biggest Morning Tea activities and admiring your hexagons as part of our 20thAnniversary Plus Ten Year Quilt at the Luncheon.
