Elephants, donkeys, and mice …

… are just some of what you will find in Trish Harper’s quilts.

Wow, what a feast for the eyes. The quilts just kept coming and coming!

It was a delight to see these quilts, 90% of which are hand pieced, hand appliquĂ©d, and hand quilted. Trish likes to use indian voile for the back of her quilts and Hobbs Polydown as a batting for softness. When touching and holding the quilts, they were so soft and as light as a feather. It takes her about 3 months to complete a quilt, and she works on 2 or 3 projects at a time. Trish uses utility stitches with a pearl thread for her quilting, done without a frame or hoop. If that’s not enough, Trish also likes to embroider some of her quilts!

It was with sincere thanks that President of Essendon Quilters, Kerry Roe thanked Trish Harper on behalf of us all, for sharing her quilts with members.
