Have you started your shopping list for the Bus Trip yet?

Pack any swatches needed for coordinating your purchases. Jot down quantities needed. Perhaps you need to bring along your patterns too.

Our second stop for the day is “A Little Different”, where we have been offered a 10% discount by Glenda. Their fabric ranges are very colourful and include Kaffe Fassett, Tula Pink, Amy Butler, Liberty, Cotton & Steel, Kathy Doughty, Emma Jean Jansen, Lecien, Verna Mosquera and Jennifer Paganelli. There is a large array of fat quarters - which will hasten the shopping time. I noticed that DMC Perle is $5! DMC Stranded is also available. There are patterns for children’s clothes, books, and some reduced fabric. There are cafes and a bakery nearby; namely- Rosey Joans, 9 Grams, The Cottage, Southside and Pakington Bakery.

Our third stop is Jiddi’s Patch. Here you will find a variety of fabric styles. They have Moda, Free Spirit, Hoffman batiks, Kaffe Fassett, P & B, Charles Parson, Heather Bailey, Anna Maria Horner, French General and a large selection of flannels. There are Kokka linen blends, widebacks and a mesh fabric - which is popular for beach bags. They have Guterman, Cottage Garden, DMC, Aurifil and Valdani threads. There are also Daruma and YLI silk threads.

There are patterns for children’s clothing and toys, including the Ric Rac brand and books. Nearby there are lunch spots – Ebony & Ivory, Sam’s Lebanese café and Dolly’s Sister Vegan Café.

Other businesses that may be of interest are a wool shop called Twisted Threads, two art supply, two golf shops and a kitchenware shop called Chefs Essentials.

Excitement is building for our Geelong escapade!
