Greetings to you all.
I hope you are coping with life in 2022 which is far different to what we thought it would be. It is so hard to believe this is the third year of the pandemic. I find it difficult to separate 2020 and 2021 - they seem to be just one long period with few distinguishing features . Now we have what people are calling a ‘shadow’ lockdown, one where we impose limits on our own activities. Experience has shown us that it is not a good idea to be in the company of large groups of people. I have friends who went to a funeral and both husband and wife contracted Covid-19. Fortunately they were fully vaccinated and their symptoms were mild. Now they say they aren’t going to any more funerals.

We have decided to hold the February meeting of EQI as a picnic in the park. It will be the same as the previous ones- bring your own everything to Woodlands park on the 16 th of February from 10 am till 12. We have decided not to have both the QFO day or the night meeting but at the moment we have the Hall booked for the Saturday stitching session on the 26 th of February, 10 till 2, so that could encompass any QFO needs. Again it’s a byo everything. Perhaps some of our members who come to the night meeting may be able to join us on that day.

We have had tentative discussions about the AGM being held in March. All of the above depend on case numbers not spiralling out of control again.

Meanwhile I don’t have lots of quilting news to tell you because I guess most groups are in the same situation as we are - it’s very difficult in this uncertain world to plan anything too far ahead.
Stay safe, stay well, stay stitching.
Heather.
