More Frequently Asked Questions about the Bits and Pieces Challenge:

Thank you to the members who have contacted us, using info@essendonquilters.org.au, for some further information about the Bits and Pieces Challenge. As we all agree it’s always helpful to share, so here are the answers provided.

Why do I register? By going to essendonquilters.org.au and registering your intention to participate in the Challenge will assist the organisers to plan the display and facilitate the Viewer’s Choice Award voting.

Do I have to provide a photo? No this is not a quilt competition and it’s a challenge so let the organisers be a surprised as all the attendees at the Quilt In. It would be helpful if you are entering the 3-D element of the Bits and Pieces Challenge for you to indicate if it is a collection.

When do I have to provide the Challenge? You bring it on the day of the Quilt In - 24 August 2019 to the Essendon Masonic Hall. If you are unable to attend on the day but want to participate in the challenge you can provide it to the Treasurer, with the entry fee at EQI meetings. We encourage you to use a labelled bag for your work.

How can I check my three-dimensional object meets the size criteria?  If you are making a three-dimensional work the “box” will be at all EQI meetings prior to the Quilt In.  The mini quilt is 20 by 20 square or the external dimensions add to eighty inches.
