Inter-Guild eNews
News from other patchwork guilds is starting to be forwarded to EQI. Sometimes it is using an email marketing tool such as ‘MailChimp’, sometimes as a personal email. Neither of these methods is able to be bulk distributed to our own members as the technology to do so is not workable. However, a couple of the guilds are beginning to use hyperlinks to either a PDF version or to a storage location. These are able to be passed on to members.
Consequently, an occasional post containing any inter-guild news will be included in our ‘Monday’ push posts. Its addition will depend on both volunteer time, plus how and when any inter-guild news is received. Many EQI members are also members of other guilds and will already have had access to the content, so the timing of this service is not aligned to any urgency, and may ‘be after the event’.
It is another way EQI members can independently ‘self-serve’ some of ‘What’s on Elsewhere’, rather than relying on our current small Committee being the ‘middle-man’ to source and publish this information. If you know of any other guild that produces a PDF version, or link to a PDF, or of any material they are willing to share, let them and us know.
