Fabric Artist - Ro Bruhn

Delighted us all with her amazing fabric creations. Under difficult circumstances in the Hall, negotiating extensive catwalks, leads, and crammed tables, Ro spoke - without a microphone due to the renovations - about her work as an artist. Her love of colour was very evident in her work. We saw examples of works in pastels; collage paintings; murals; fabric journals; fabric projects; felt pieces; jewellery; bags; mosaics; fabric printing; sketchbooks, and altered books.

Ro has been published in several books and magazines. Her studio tip is an Ikea DVD cupboard, just perfect for fabric! Quite a few of us now have a Ro Bruhn original!

Thank you Ro for a fascinating presentation.

(Thank you to the ladies who put up the quilt stand. Hopefully when the Hall is finished being renovated, the new infrastructure will make it easier us, as well as for our Guest Speakers.)

Meanwhile around the room saw some works in progress by two members.
