Saturday Stitching
Sewing days for members and guests to sit and sew by hand or machine.
These are conducted to implement the ‘Statement of Purpose’ of Essendon Quilters Inc.
When: 4th Saturday of the month, January - November. Please refer to the event calendar for any udates.
Time: 10.00 am - 3 pm
Where: Essendon Masonic Hall
840 Mount Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds.
Cost: $10.00
- Bring your handwork - patchwork; quilting; stitcheries, or even knitting!
- Bring your sewing machine to work on your patchwork project
- Use the tables to hold your work while you quilt it!
- Contribute to the community by helping to sew an ‘EQI Community Quilt’
- Make use of the many EQI resources - ‘Go Cutter’ and die; Quilting stencils; Light Box; specialist Stripology Ruler, and of course an iron and ironing board are provided.
- Explore the extensive library of patchwork quilting books for your next project, or research a technique
- Get hints and tips from like-minded fellow patchworkers and quilters
- Learn a skill when there is a mini class
- Or just chill out and chat while you stitch in air-conditioned / heating comfort!
BYO Lunch and mug - tea and coffee are provided.
A short walk to the corner has a 7-Eleven for snacks and sandwiches.
