Pinwheels …

It’s only 14”x14”. All that work!! Thankfully I only had to quilt it and put on the binding.

From my book of “Sayings”.

‘If an unwelcome guest had stayed too long, he would be given the poorer cut of meat unheated, which was being given “the cold shoulder”.

It was a status symbol to be able to afford pork. When visitors came, the family would have hung up the bacon to show it off. A sign of wealth was that he could “bring home the bacon”.
They would cut off a little to share with guests and everyone would sit around and “chew the fat”.

I wonder when we will be able to “chew the fat” again. Perhaps at Woodlands Park on the 16th. Enjoy yourselves. I will be away but I will think of you all getting together for Xmas and raise a glass at lunchtime.

Nothing next week. I wonder why? (Seaside breeze and sand - here we come!)

Keep safe.
