Our guest speaker for the March meeting was Jennifer Twitchett-Hyland, along with her shop of vintage and antique fabric, ‘A Piece of Cloth’. She delighted us all with a very animated story of her journey as a textile merchant. It was fascinating to hear about the development of fabrics over time, and how to judge the era of a fabric by it’s colours and printed patterns. Her collection of vintage and antique quilts highlighted construction techniques and changes over time.
