Refining the Process of Loans and Returns
As part of continuing improvements to our self-service Library:-
- Members no longer need to date stamp their library card … yay!
- Members have 4 personalised Library cards in their pocket
- Members record data of returns and loans in the updated ‘Library Register’
- This data is as simple as entering across a row: Date - Membership Number - Returns (item numbers) - Loans (item numbers)
- Members are currently able to borrow 4 items
- Loan period is per month, however due to trips away, illness, family interruptions, unforeseen circumstances, a grace period of 3 months is provided
The ‘Library Register’ is self-explanatory, and our Librarian is willing to help you if necessary.

Hi Janis and Robyn, do we have Di Fords Primarily Quilts 2 ? Can we request a purchase if it’s not ? If we do and it’s out how can we request it or be next in line to borrow? Nancylee
Nancylee. there is a catalogue of books on the library table … named or numerical order … and if it is out we can ask the member to bring it back to the requested member..
however I will need to see if we have that book. see me at Wed meeting …Janis
