I am woman
Hear me swear
For I’ve taken the wrong turn again!

This is me on the way home from dropping off quilts to Baptcare and the Birthing unit at Joan Kirner Hospital, both in Sunshine, this morning. (Apologies to Helen Reddy).
After phone calls yesterday, when the travel limit became 25 km, I set out with 14 quilts for Baptcare (foster children) and 23 memory baby quilts. They were all most gratefully received and special thanks to the Quilters who made them.

So far this year we have donated:

  • 44 quilts to the Salvation Army on 5/4/20
  • 9 to bush fire victims in Gippsland on 19/8/20
  • 20 memory quilts to the Birthing unit through the Moonee Ponds group on 30/8/20
  • 10 to the Palliative Care Unit at Sunshine Hospital on 2/10/20
  • 14 to Baptcare on 20/10/20
  • 23 to the Birthing unit on 20/10/20

That’s a grand total of 120 in the year of the bug!!!

My thanks go all the wonderful women who have stitched their way through this lockdown. Not long to go now till we can look forward to a meal we haven’t cooked ourselves, going to the beach or the countryside and embracing our families with our elbows!

Take care everyone, Heather.
