QFO Amnesty & Working Bee
As we are coming to the end of our “QFO “year, we would appreciate it if you would go through your stash for any unfinished QFO’s you have not found the time to complete and return them so we can finish them and give them out this year. We usually give the quilts out at the night meeting in October. Any quilts can be dropped off at the day and night meetings in August. Just think of the room you will make for something else to inspire you!!!!!!
Our next QFO day is 27th July when we meet at the hall at 10.00 am (a shared lunch to follow). Everyone welcome.
[Have a look at this year’s fabulous effort by the QFO ladies. Check it out under ‘Our Quilts’ on the Members menu.]
Are we getting a scissor-lift to reach the top shelves? Might have to talk to Hamish for some pointers on how to drive one! Also have to have the door opening outwards to maximise that space. Will be interesting to see.
I am sure the builders mentioned the door opening out as I remember thinking we would have to move the treasurer’s table to the other side. OH&S was mentioned when we talked with the builders on Wednesday. there would not be a partitioned roof installed so it would give us more of a feeling of “open space”. The top part of our room would not be used. The builders are doing a wonderful job and negotiated with the Masonic Centre to enlarge our room. It was originally to be the size of the lift on the opposite side of the doors. extra power points are being installed as well as double glazing and new lights. I am looking forward to seeing the hall finished in all it’s glory. Lorraine Carr
Sounds good Lorraine. The pics probably don’t do it justice.
