Can you sew a surgical mask?

The quilting fraternity worldwide is stepping up to sew masks to help out during this pandemic. There are many patterns out there to guide sewers. Whilst they are not ‘N95’ hospital standard to prevent COVID-19, they do provide a layer of protection, especially from helping to remind you not to touch your face before washing your hands.

Here’s a couple of examples to start with. It’s eye-opening to scroll down under the videos and read through the comments and replies to see how this virus is affecting everyone. Also to hear of shortages of supplies such as elastic and pipe cleaners, so if you have any keep it or if you know where to get some, do so ASAP.
