Chooks and circles …
Had a big hiccup with paper piecing this week - used too much glue and had big trouble getting papers out. Am giving it a big miss and have gone back to the challenge. As well as that, have made a new trivet for the teapot filled with lavender and rice, smells beautiful, and also a chook and a mouse.
Have also pulled a UFO out of the cupboard. This quilt was only needing the smaller circles appliqued but I went off circles and left it. Nearly finished now but not much housework done this week

You have been really productive. Can I ask hiw you prepare the circles for applique? Do you use freezer paper or needleturn?
Hi Nadine, the large circles I did needleturn but the pieced smaller ones I had trouble getting a good circle shape. I tried tacking under the edge but found I got the best result from gathering the edge round a cardboard circle, shot of starch when ironing holds the shape. Cindy
