More from Joanne’s stash…
by EQI Member: Lorraine C.
The house quilt is the size of a queen-size bed topper. I have not measured it but it took two people to hold it up. There are some pins still in but is now finished. QFO, I think, from Joanne’s stash. All hand pieced with binding already done.
Nearly finished her stash just some bits and pieces which will make probably two QFO lap quilts. One already pieced. There is one quilt left (hexagons!!,), which I will join together and give to Joseph - her son, who was so good to her.
Keep safe and, yes, my spotlight delivery arrived before I ran out of needles
The embroidery is one of four designs to be sent to Sydney and, if good enough, be included in a quilt remembering the “blackbirding” trade between the Pacific Islanders and Queensland. There are four designs, sugar cane, turtle, frangipani and hibiscus. Turtle next week.

The embroidery work is fabulous, and thank you for its’ story. Good luck, I hope it is accepted and we see it in the finished quilt.
