Out of My Comfort Zone…

by EQI Member: Margot L.
Just finished this fun project, out of my comfort zone for both colour and machine piecing - I learnt a lot about accuracy - the hard way!

Row by row the design came together, it was hard to put down without doing another row to see a new flower emerge.

The design is by Tilda using solid colours. Quilting is by Desley Maisano of Addicted to Quilting and it was a challenge for her. A row-by-row pattern would take away the design, the thread colour choice also impacting either the background or flowers. Thanks to Desley it came together with cross stitch hatching.

The design is made up of 2268  - 1 1/2” squares.

Happy Quilting - Margot L.
