Hello fellow quilters, and welcome to our December newsletter.
First, I’d like to extend a big congratulations to our Paint Chip Challenge winners,
First Prize winner, Marina Gangoiti, Second prize Jan Goodge, Third prize Anita Stevenson and Viewer’s Choice went to Margaret Wills. It was wonderful to see how each quilter creatively interpreted their colours into a unique and beautiful quilt. Well done to you all!
There will be no meeting in January next year. The first meeting for 2025 will be in
February. Notification of dates and confirmation of venue for next year’s meetings will be sent in January’s newsletter.
The Moonee Valley Festival is back! It will take place on Saturday, February 22nd.
Please save the date, as we plan to set up a stand for Essendon Quilters. We’ll need volunteers to help run the stand. More details can be found in the December members newsletter.
Members, a quick reminder: If you’ve changed your phone number, address, email, or any other contact details, please inform our membership officer Alex Denny or one of the committee members. It’s important that our records are kept up to date. Thank you.
At the Christmas day and night meeting, please bring your Xmas block challenge, a Xmas quilt to hang around the hall, a plate to share, Xmas table decorations and your Christmas spirit.
I would like to wish each, and every one of you a safe and festive holiday season and a wonderful start to the new year.
Merry Christmas, Santina
