Up and down the steps …

What to do with short strips with pieces on the ends? The left-over slices from shaping blocks for a quilt have been lurking amongst the scraps. Been looking at them for a while, and thought I may as well just sew them end to end like a jellyroll race. Hence another QFO was made.

Quilting with an arc ruler up and down the steps, and a shaped ruler for the horizontal strips, was fun to do - it’s just the deciding what to do, that takes time (plus the tying off and burying threads)!

I wonder where the original quilt ended up - knowing me it could still be a top somewhere in the pile, but with such a lovely colour palette I feel it surely would have been given to someone special.

Oh no - there’s still more bits in the scrap stash!
